The larger half of the moon glows with orange hues
against a black sky dotted with the lights of stars
across a landscape of space and time.
You are out there in the
far reaches of my mind.
Where the depths of cool, dark waters lap against the rock
Worn away by the tides-
coming and going.
Gritty particles of you are left in the crevices
of being one with the land in the most intimate way.
And when I see the moon, I see you
Sailing through the seas of change.
